Ahlbeck is part of Heringsdorf, a seaside resort in Germany on the island of Usedom in the Baltic Sea, directly next to the border to Poland and the city of Świnoujście.
Two major attractions in the town include the famous “Seebrücke” or Pier, and a Railroad Museum. Ahlbeck is the largest town on the German side and has scenic houses and mansions in the style of “Bäderarchitektur.” The bathing resort “Ostseetherme” is a popular tourist attraction. Close to it, there is an architectonical interesting observation tower with an elevator.
